Yesterday (the 9th), Seoul City posted on its official account 'Information related to viewing the BTS 2026 comeback show performance,' announcing the 'BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG' event to be held in the Gwanghwamun Square area on the 21st. According to this, over 2,000 open and mobile toilets will be operated in the Gwanghwamun Square area on the day of the event. Non-stop passage and entrance closures will occur at Gwanghwamun, City Hall, and Gyeongbokgung Station. During peak times, non-stop passage and entrance closures will also be implemented at stations like Euljiro Entrance Station. Seoul City will also implement temporary bus detours in the Gwanghwamun area and suspend the rental and return of the shared bicycle 'Taluuni.' There are plans to immediately guide and take measures regarding the waiting of homeless individuals and waiting lines on sidewalks. Seoul City stated, 'To ensure that artists, fans, and all citizens can safely enjoy the performance, we will work with related agencies to ensure order and safety management on-site.' On this day, it is expected that up to 260,000 people will gather in the Gwanghwamun area. In response, the Sejong Cultural Center, located near Gwanghwamun Square, has canceled scheduled performances such as musicals and ballet. The National Museum of Korean History will be closed. The Cultural Heritage Administration's Royal Tombs Headquarters also announced that 'Gyeongbokgung Palace is scheduled to be closed on the 21st.' The Ministry of the Interior and Safety will hold a 'BTS Comeback Event Crowd Safety Management Meeting' on the 11th, hosted by Minister Yoon Ho-jun. Participating agencies include the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Seoul City, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters, and the Seoul Transportation Corporation. They will inspect crowd accident prevention measures by agency and encourage systematic preparations to ensure that the measures established by each agency work effectively on-site. On the morning of the event day, Minister Yoon Ho-jun will visit the event site and conduct a final inspection of areas with high risks of crowd accidents, such as bottleneck sections, police routes, stairs, handrails, and subway station buildings. Before and after the event starts, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety will dispatch on-site situation management officers to manage the situation until all crowds gathered at the event site disperse safely, in cooperation with Seoul City, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, and the Seoul Fire and Disaster Headquarters. Minister Yoon Ho-jun stated, 'This event, which attracts global attention, is of utmost importance for ensuring the safety of domestic and international audiences participating on-site,' and added, 'To ensure that all audiences can enjoy the event safely, we will closely cooperate with related agencies and concentrate all administrative power on ensuring safety on-site during the remaining period.' BTS will make a comeback on the 20th with their 5th full album 'ARIRANG.' To commemorate this, they will unveil a new stage including the title track at the Gwanghwamun Square performance on the 21st at 8 PM.
