NewJeans and ADOR's contract dispute continues as mediation fails again, with a court ruling expected on October 30.

NewJeans and ADOR, who are in conflict over the exclusive contract, have again failed to reach an agreement. Today (11th) afternoon, the second mediation date for the lawsuit filed by ADOR against NewJeans to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract was held at the Seoul Central District Court Civil Agreement Division 41 (Chief Judge: Jeong Hae-il). Like the previous time, it was held in private, and only the lawyers from both sides attended, with the members of NewJeans not present. Previously, on August 14, members Minji and Daniel attended the mediation date. After facing ADOR for about 1 hour and 20 minutes, the two left the courtroom without making any special comments to the press. This mediation session lasted about 20 minutes from 1:30 PM, but no conclusion was reached. As a result, the court plans to announce a ruling on October 30. NewJeans claims that their exclusive contract with ADOR, a label under HYBE, was terminated last November. In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit in January this year seeking confirmation of the validity of the exclusive contract and a provisional injunction to prevent the members from engaging in activities, which the court accepted. Therefore, NewJeans is currently unable to continue their activities until the lawsuit concludes.
