BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) raised their voices about the issue of rising accommodation costs ahead of their Busan performance. Today (26th), right after winning three awards at the American Music Awards, BTS held a live stream to interact with fans. While sharing the joy of their awards, RM mentioned, "There’s something I’ve really wanted to say," referring to the issue of rising accommodation costs for the Busan concert. RM stated, "I hope it doesn’t happen that way. We need to look at it long-term. Busan is spreading as Korea’s Miami," expressing his frustration that, even if they want to resolve it, they cannot. He continued, acknowledging the understanding of price fluctuations during peak and off-peak seasons, but emphasized, "Please stop it, I want it to end." He also expressed disappointment, saying, "I heard some people are staying at jjimjilbang (Korean sauna) for zero nights. Isn’t that strange?" Jimin, who is also from Busan, said, "I don’t feel good. It’s such a happy thing," and added, "I want fans to take home only good memories when they come." He also remarked, "Of course, money is like that. But it’s too much." Jungkook, also from Busan, added, "Let’s stop this already." The "BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG' IN BUSAN" scheduled for June 12-13 sold out immediately upon reservation, proving the high interest. However, as soon as the concert information was announced, some accommodation prices in the Busan area skyrocketed to an average of 2.4 times the normal rate, with hotels increasing by up to 3.3 times. There have been numerous reports of fans having their existing reservations unilaterally canceled. In response, some fans are considering participating in day trip plans, using KTX or express buses to return home on the night of the concert.
