The residential complex houses about 2,000 units, with approximately 4,000 residents. Due to the building's height of over 30 floors, firefighting efforts on the upper floors were difficult, leading to a large-scale fire. Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee stated early on the 27th, 'The fire is basically under control. At least 36 people have died, and 279 are missing due to the fire.'
