Girls' Generation's Tiffany cited "marriage" as the driving force that supports her passion for work. Tiffany played the role of the protagonist Yumi in the musical "Yumi's Cells" and gave an impassioned performance. "Yumi's Cells" is a work that depicts the daily life and romance of Yumi, an ordinary office worker, from the perspective of the cells that exist inside her head. The original work is a popular webtoon by writer Lee Dong-gon, and its global cumulative views have surpassed 3.5 billion. Yang Jeong-eun, who served as the artistic director of the 2025 APEC summit and the overall director of the opening ceremony of the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics, was in charge of directing. In addition, a first-rate creative team gathered, including composer Choi Jae-gwang, music director Kim Seong-su, and writer Kim Ga-ram. Tiffany, together with Kim Ye-won, played the lead role of Yumi and drew the audience into the world of the story with acting that three-dimensionally expressed delicate changes in emotion. In a recent interview with Newsen held at the Arts Center in Seocho-dong, Seoul, she said about the reactions of the Girls' Generation members, "They said, 'I cried and looked up at the ceiling.' They also said it was really fun. The people who know me best were moved by the work and empathized with it, so it became a very big source of strength and was reassuring." She continued, "The members had been reading the original webtoon since it was being serialized, so they knew the work well. That is why I think they enjoyed watching it even more." She said, "The feedback from the members is the most honest. In particular, Sooyoung is appearing in 'The Merchant of Venice' at the National Theater, so she gave more accurate advice. I am really happy because the members always support me," and smiled. Tiffany released her first solo full album, "Edge of Calm," on August 20. When asked about the driving force that supports her passion for work, she said with a smile, "Since I was young, I was able to have truly splendid activities as Girls' Generation. Now I am simply grateful, and every day is fun. I only work on jobs that I choose myself and truly want to do. I receive much more energy than before, and I am very happy." In particular, she also mentioned actor Byun Yo-han, whom she registered her marriage with on February 27 and became husband and wife with. "After getting married, I began to feel even more energized. I never thought such words would come out of my mouth, but I really felt a new power welling up. Having a life partner became a new driving force for me. It feels as if a new chapter of life has begun," she revealed candidly. She also mentioned activities toward Girls' Generation's 20th debut anniversary. Regarding the unit "Hyoris" by Hyoyeon, Yuri, and Sooyoung, which has recently been drawing attention, Tiffany joked, "I'm very scared," drawing laughter. She continued, "Thanks to Hyoris, every day is fun. I am laughing this much for the first time in a long while, and I feel like a new driving force for the 20th anniversary has been created." She added, "Among the many outstanding junior idols who are active, it is very proud that people are still paying attention to us." Regarding activities of TTS (Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun), she said, "I don't know unless I ask Taeyeon and Seohyun. If the two say, 'Let's do it,' I will do it anytime," and smiled, adding, "Taeyeon and Seohyun have the style and direction they want to pursue. I am a little bad at doing things that get laughs. Right now, everyone is focusing on the 20th anniversary." About her own solo full album, she revealed, "The agency said, 'Wouldn't a mini album or a single be fine?' but I replied, 'No, my pride is in a full album.' It contains 11 songs, and I carefully created it together with really wonderful producers and creators." She further said, "I think artists should be mirrors that reflect the times. I selected the songs and produced the music video while asking myself, 'What can I convey now that I am 37?'" When asked about her husband, actor Byun Yo-han's reaction, Tiffany said, "He is always the number one person for me and the one at the center," and added, "We always support each other, believe in each other, and have a great influence on each other. I really love him." Also, to the question, "Did marriage change your music?" she answered, "What I was influenced by as a person appears directly in me as a performer. It affects my music, my perspective on things, and even my singing voice." She further said with a smile, "The expression in his eyes when he is acting is really wonderful. Sometimes I think, 'I want to be able to have that kind of gaze too.'" Regarding her future goals, she said, "As I have kept running until now, there have really been various events and conflicts. Each time, there were times when I made good choices and times when I did not. But because all of that time existed, I am who I am now. From now on, rather than 'achieving something,' I want to cherish and protect what I have now." She continued, "From now on, I want to continue to nurture and protect my ties with friends, life, my relationship with my partner, and encounters with works. That is my goal."
