Minnie of i-dle will debut as a movie actor. Today (12th), according to CUBE Entertainment, Minnie has been selected as the lead in the Thai remake of the movie '50 First Dates.' The work depicts the story of Lucy (Drew Barrymore), who suffers from short-term memory loss, and Henry (Adam Sandler), a veterinarian who works at an aquarium and falls in love with her at first sight. It was also remade in Japan in 2018, starring Takayuki Yamada and Masami Nagasawa, and gained attention. Minnie will transform into the heroine in this remake and is expected to showcase delicate emotional acting. This film, co-produced by Sony Pictures International Productions and Thailand's leading film company GDH, will start shooting in October this year. The co-star will be Nadech Kugimiya, a Thai model and actor. He is a top Thai actor who appeared in the Thai version of the drama 'My Love from the Star' in 2019 and last year's biggest hit film in Thailand, 'Death Whisperer 2.' The famous Thai director Mez Tharatorn will produce and direct, with the script co-written by Thodsapon Thiptinnakorn and Benjamaporn Sra Bua. Minnie first challenged acting in the 2021 Netflix series 'Honto Muri Dakara,' showing impressive performance. In her first movie lead role in the Thai remake of '50 First Dates,' she is expected to showcase her unique bright and lovely charm along with deepened acting. i-dle will perform on stage at the music festival 'SUMMER SONIC 2025' on the 16th and 17th of this month, meeting the audience.
