A Brazilian woman in her 30s who stalked BTS's Jungkook has been indicted. According to reports from Korean media today (the 3rd), the Western Seoul District Prosecutor's Office's Women and Child Crime Investigation Department (Chief: Wang Seong-joo) detained and indicted a Brazilian woman, Ms. A, on charges of violating the Stalker Punishment Act and trespassing on the 27th of last month. Regarding the attempted trespassing charge, she was found not guilty due to insufficient evidence. Ms. A is suspected of having visited Jungkook's residence 23 times from December 7 of last year to January 4 of this year, pressing the intercom hundreds of times, waiting nearby, and leaving mail as part of her stalking behavior. Despite being requested to maintain a distance, she did not comply. On December 13 of last year, she is also accused of entering the premises when a delivery person was coming in. The police arrested Ms. A on the same day and investigated her. She stated at the time, 'I just wanted to let him know I exist, and I had no aggressive intent,' and was released the next day. However, Ms. A visited Jungkook's residence again in January of this year. After her whereabouts became unknown, the police arrested her on the 10th of last month and began an investigation on the 13th. Following the case's referral, the prosecution has been conducting additional investigations. Ms. A reportedly stated, 'I generally acknowledge the facts, but my actions were out of love for Jungkook, and I had no intention to harm him,' denying the charges. The prosecution has indicted Ms. A on charges of violating the Stalker Punishment Act and trespassing. The police applied the attempted trespassing charge based on the situation where Ms. A attempted to enter the residence seven times from December 7 to 27, but the prosecution determined it was difficult to prove after reviewing security camera footage and dismissed the charges.
