SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as SM) denied suspicions regarding NCT members Jaehyun and Haechan, and SUPER JUNIOR's Heechul, and hinted at strong legal action. SM stated through their official fan communication platform KWANGYA yesterday (4th), "Currently, on the internet, unfounded rumors of Jaehyun and Haechan engaging in sexual transactions, drugs, and other difficult-to-mention provocative content are being indiscriminately spread and reproduced. Upon confirmation, these are completely unfounded and constitute criminal acts seriously damaging the honor of the artists." Regarding the rumors about Heechul, they also explained, "In connection with this, unfounded rumors and malicious defamation against Heechul and other artists, including NCT, continue to be generated. We have already collected sufficient evidence for numerous posts on this matter and intend to legally punish such criminal acts without neglect, regardless of nationality, without consent or agreement." They plan to continue monitoring those who continue to spread rumors even after the official announcement. SM emphasized, "Please be aware that all acts of malicious posting are subject to punishment at this moment." Prior to the official announcement, provocative posts without confirmed facts, such as Heechul visiting entertainment facilities in Japan and Jaehyun and Haechan inviting multiple women to a hotel to drink together, were spreading online. In response, Heechul, before SM's official comment, revealed through the fan communication platform bubble, "I am also watching. I think it might become a problem on Instagram, so I am discussing it with the company." However, this seems to be an answer to fans' questions about "What has Heechul been doing in Japan?"
