Actor Yuki Yamada served as the personality for the radio program, Nippon Broadcasting 'Yuki Yamada's All Night Nippon' (every Monday: 25:00-27:00). The program event 'Yuki Yamada's All Night Nippon Dragon Phoenix Koshien' was held on October 26 (Sunday) at Yokohama Arena. Guests included Sukima Switch, Kep1er, Aogumo, Ryo Katsuji, Ryuta Shibuya (SUPER BEAVER), Aoi Kawashima, Eiji Akaso, and a surprise appearance by Neptune, entertaining the 10,000 listeners with a one-night-only luxurious collaboration live and talks that only Yamada could draw out. The opening started with a VTR reflecting on the 'serious injury' mentioned in the October 20 (Monday) broadcast. Yamada had been joking about 'fatigue fracture of the throat during voice training camp.' Listeners were worried, 'Is the event okay?!' However, Yamada appeared on stage looking worse than just a throat fatigue fracture. With a neck brace, bandaged feet, and breathing heavily, the painful sight drew cheers of 'Do your best!' from the audience. Controlling the audience's cheers, Yamada, like a high school baseball player, energized himself with a shout known as 'Seibi Voice,' boldly declaring the recovery of his throat. Accompanied by a brass band version of the original song 'Nakama,' he carried a placard for 'Monday All Night Nippon Baseball Club' while parading around the Yokohama Arena with mascots Dragon-chan and Phoenix-kun, starting the event with a spirited shout, 'Yuki Yamada's All Night Nippon Dragon Phoenix Koshien begins!!!' The event's MC was the familiar Aoi Kawashima. This Koshien was to participate as 'Monday All Night Nippon Baseball Club,' but when it was mentioned that Kitani Tatsuya, foreign student FRUITS ZIPPER, and manager Ano were not present, Yamada decided to message them, 'What are they doing?' The responses included, 'Not going. I never said “going”' (Ano), 'Sorry, I also didn’t get an offer… I will be absent!' (Kitani), and 'Yamada-san, I support you! Captain Fight!' (Zipper), along with a notification of leaving the group. Yamada positively interpreted this as 'They won’t disturb the captain's shining stage!' and decided to proceed with the event alone. However, it seemed his throat was not fully healed, and he suddenly started to struggle. Just when it seemed the event might be canceled, Eiji Akaso appeared with the line from the drama 'Pending Train - 8:23, Tomorrow with You,' 'Everyone, please calm down!' The warm embrace between Akaso and Yamada on stage brought about a 'mysterious power' of 'friendship' that healed Yamada's throat. From here, Yamada and Akaso engaged in a talk, recalling last year's event where Yamada cried at Akaso's surprise appearance, with Yamada saying, 'The moment I saw Akaso's face, the tension completely unraveled.' When Akaso asked about 'this year's level of tension,' Yamada revealed, 'Not at all. It feels like a friend came!' After discussing whether they had met other cast members from 'Pending Train,' Akaso mentioned his co-starring with Moka Kamishiraishi in the movie '366 Days' released in January, saying, 'It was embarrassing to do a full-on romance.' Yamada revealed he lives in the same apartment as Eiji Wentz and that they visit each other's homes. Akaso had also visited Yamada's house, promising, 'I will come to play again when things settle down. Please invite me to the radio again!' The next guest was Aogumo, a 'diamond in the rough' discovered by Yamada. A current high school artist, Yamada was captivated by her lyrics when she was in the third year of middle school. He shared, 'A man over 30 resonated deeply with the lyrics written by a middle school girl!' Introducing Aogumo with absolute confidence in his 'foresight,' Yamada said, 'Tremble at my foresight!' Aogumo performed her first song in front of an audience, saying, 'I don’t have a title yet,' showcasing her transparent and beautiful voice. Despite her impressive performance, she admitted, 'It was my first time singing in front of people other than karaoke. I was nervous,' revealing a high school girl's side during the talk. Aogumo, who produces the program's jingle, collaborated with the audience to record a 'Dragon Phoenix Koshien version,' expressing gratitude, 'I was happy that everyone was warm! I hope to co-star with Yamada-san on the radio someday.' In a free talk corner set up like a radio booth on stage, Yamada shared a passionate story about his driver, Ryutaro. After discussing a previous screening of the movie 'Bomb,' he revealed that he unexpectedly ran into co-star Boku Kosei at a bar afterward, where Ryutaro exclaimed, 'This is fate! We are guided!' They ended up drinking together and passionately discussing works and acting theories. With Yamada's leading movie 'Bomb' set to release on October 31 (Friday), he called out, 'It’s just 5 days away. Please go see it!' Next was a live corner featuring Kep1er, a group Yamada has long been a fan of. He watched their performances of 'Shooting Star (Japanese ver.),' 'Up! (Japanese ver.),' and their latest songs 'Yum' and 'BUBBLE GUM' from the wings, dressed in a bandana and happi coat in a 'fan style.' Yamada's love for Kep1er was evident as he said, 'I’ve been supporting you since the audition!' and 'I applied for an online call but didn’t get through!' Following this, Yamada and Kep1er collaborated on 'WA DA DA (Japanese ver.).' Yamada expressed his joy, saying, 'I was so happy to WA DA DA with Kep1er! Kamsahamnida! A lifelong dream has come true. I never thought I would meet the real ones!' Kep1er praised Yamada, saying, 'Your fan style is cute!' and 'Your dance was perfect!' Next, Ryuta Shibuya, the vocalist of SUPER BEAVER, appeared for a talk corner titled 'Ryuta Shibuya, Talking About His Music Life.' Yamada, fully in the role of the 'listener,' asked sharp questions about what it means to perform at Yokohama Arena, whether the first song in a live performance is nerve-wracking, and what has allowed SUPER BEAVER to continue for 20 years. However, Yamada ended up speaking, connecting his thoughts to SUPER BEAVER's song titles, and unexpectedly sang passionately, causing cheers from the audience. Meanwhile, Shibuya humorously questioned his own role, saying, 'What’s my position? I want to talk about music. Why was I called? Am I still singing?' This unique exchange continued until Shibuya was sent off by Yamada saying, 'Time’s up.' Furthermore, the duo Sukima Switch, who had previously appeared as guests on the broadcast on the 6th of this month, made their awaited appearance. Although they had performed at Yokohama Arena many times, they revealed they had little experience in crossover events like this, expressing their nervousness, 'It’s amazing to have a program event at Yokohama Arena! I was watching the monitor, thinking we would be on the stage where Kep1er was dancing (laughs).' However, they showcased an impressive performance of 'LINE,' 'Garana,' and 'Ah Yeah!!' with Yamada joining in for 'Kanade' and 'Zengryoku Shonen.' Despite being from the same Aichi Prefecture, they joked about the different intonations of 'Kanade,' leading to a lively discussion about dialects and asking the audience, 'Anyone from Aichi Prefecture?' Yamada, overwhelmed with emotion at being able to perform with artists he had admired since his student days, said, 'I’m really moved right now,' with tears in his eyes, and as he attempted to conclude the event, a voice suddenly called out, 'Hey Yamada! Why are you trying to end it?' The final guest of the day was Ryo Katsuji, who had just finished performing in the serious play 'Don’t Look for Me' alongside Yuumi Kawai and Kyoko Koizumi. Yamada expressed surprise, 'You managed to come here after that play?' Together, they introduced the listeners' 'soulful cries' with Mafumafu's 'Sacrifice' in a special edition of 'Katsuji Face!' Katsuji passionately shouted, 'Don’t say “preparation person!”' and 'Don’t post with my first name wrong on X!' The event concluded with all performances finished. Yamada shared his journey from debuting as Gokai Blue in 'Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger' after a period of struggle, to being called 'Sentai Blue!' by Jun Nagura at an agency party, and being tossed around by Ken Horiuchi, expressing gratitude for all the people he has met and the listeners who helped him stand on the Yokohama Arena stage again. A surprise video message from Neptune arrived, and as Yamada watched the footage, he was unaware that it was a live video from behind the stage at Yokohama Arena, leading to another surprise as Neptune appeared on stage. Yamada froze at their sudden appearance, and they celebrated the event's success, with Harada throwing Yamada in a wrestling move, and even Akaso, Katsuji, and Shibuya being tossed by Harada, bringing great excitement to the venue. Finally, after being awarded the grand championship flag by Nagura for winning the 'Dragon Phoenix Koshien,' Yamada expressed, 'You might wonder what I won, but I realized today that having friends is already a victory!' He shared his passionate feelings about the event and concluded by singing the original program song 'Nakama' with his important friends, sending each of them off one by one, and after pretending to pick up the soil of Koshien on stage, he raised the championship flag high, saying, 'Thank you all so much!' and emotionally closed the 'Dragon Phoenix Koshien.'
