On December 1, Jin of BTS donated 100 million won (about 1 million dollars) to the Namgwang Social Welfare Association in Busan. This sponsorship, delivered before his birthday (December 4), is a meaningful sharing for supporting the vulnerable classes in the community. The Namgwang Social Welfare Association (Chairman: Park Doyoung) stated, 'This sponsorship will be a gift that conveys dreams to local children and youth, and hope to marginalized neighbors.' Celebrating its 80th anniversary this year, the Namgwang Social Welfare Association is strengthening its contributions to the community and welfare innovation under the slogan '80 years of companionship, opening the future together.' Jin's sponsorship will be primarily used for child and youth welfare projects, leveraging the historical significance of the 80 years of the Namgwang Social Welfare Association, which started from child welfare facilities. In particular, since Jin has consistently shown interest in talent development activities for children and youth, the funds are expected to be used for scholarship programs supporting talents for vulnerable children and self-support programs for children leaving care facilities. A representative from the Namgwang Social Welfare Association expressed deep gratitude for Jin's meaningful sharing in the social welfare projects of the organization celebrating its 80th anniversary, stating, 'This sponsorship will greatly help nurture the dreams of children and youth in the Busan area and solidify the foundation for their independence. It will also become a seed of hope for isolated neighbors.' They added, 'The Namgwang Social Welfare Association will continue to do its best to support the dreams of children and youth and accompany the lives of neighbors.'
