“A performer you can believe and listen to,” MONSTA X’s Jooheon will decorate STARSHIP’s first comeback of 2026. Today (17th), his agency STARSHIP Entertainment announced, “Currently, Jooheon of MONSTA X is participating in the ‘Jingle Ball Tour’ in America and is working hard on the final preparations aiming for a comeback in early January next year,” adding, “We are doing our best to ensure you can experience Jooheon’s unique diverse charm, so please look forward to it.” This comeback will mark his first solo activity in about 2 years and 8 months since the release of his first mini-album ‘LIGHTS’ in May 2023. He received acclaim for filling the album with self-composed songs, completing a genre called “Jooheon.” Through this new album, he is expected to prove his deepened skills suitable for his 10th debut anniversary and an expanded musical spectrum. Since his debut, Jooheon has been the main rapper, producer, and songwriter of MONSTA X, building the team’s unique color. He showcases powerful rap and high-level vocals, and as an “all-rounder artist,” he has received much love from listeners both domestically and internationally. Especially, even before his official solo debut, he demonstrated a unique global presence through mixtapes. Following his 2018 release ‘DWTD (Do What They Do),’ which ranked on iTunes charts and the US Billboard World Album chart, he achieved notable global success. In 2020, his release ‘PSYCHE’ ranked in the top 10 of iTunes top K-POP album charts in 30 countries worldwide and recorded 2nd place on the worldwide album chart, proving his strong foundation as a solo artist. Having established a solid presence in the global market early on, he is expected to showcase his accumulated musical abilities generously through this new album. With each release, he has shown his all-rounder artist capabilities and proven limitless growth, drawing attention to what kind of music he will use to capture the hearts of fans worldwide again in the new year of 2026. Alongside his music activities, his appearances in variety shows are heightening the excitement for his comeback. Jooheon has been selected as the MC for the solo web variety show ‘Kind Handy Man - Sim Cheong Yi,’ which was announced in October, expanding his connections while showcasing his approachable and delightful charm along with his variety sense. His diverse charm, moving between the stage and variety, is expected to double the synergy of this solo activity. His group MONSTA X recently showcased their strength as artists in their 10th year by winning two awards, including ‘AAA History of K-POP,’ at the recently held ‘10th Anniversary Asia Artist Awards 2025 (AAA2025).’ Currently, they are participating in the ‘2025 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour’ across major cities in America, drawing explosive reactions from local audiences, and will conclude their tour schedule with the Miami performance on the 20th. After that, they plan to kick off their new world tour ‘2026 MONSTA X WORLD TOUR 'THE X : NEXUS'’ from January 30 to February 1 at Seoul KSPO DOME, entering into full-scale activities in the new year.
