NiziU made a comeback in Korea and released its 1st mini album, "Sour Grapes," on the 28th. This work is about a year and a half since the Korean 2nd single "LOVE LINE," released in March 2025, and is also their "first mini album" in Korea. Earlier this month, the release was announced along with a teaser video, and the impactful teaser video drew major attention not only from fans but also mainly on social media, and while the release was eagerly awaited as soon as possible, this day finally arrived. The album title is named after Aesop's fable "The Sour Grapes," and it contains a total of 5 songs. Among them, the title track of this work, also named "Sour Grapes," begins with rap by Mayuka and Rima along with a light sound, and a noisy track unlike anything before also leaves an impression. As the song progresses, one can hear NiziU-like cute popness and harmonies by the vocal team, and the refrain in the chorus is memorable. This is their third release in Korea, and it has become a work that can be said to be their true essence. In addition, the music video for this work has also been released. This too, like the teaser video and concept video released earlier, is a video with surreal and aggressive content. This time, it is a first attempt in that the entire film was shot in Taipei, and the music video, with members dressed as snipers, members powerfully running around the streets, and, as the motif of the aforementioned "sour grapes" suggests, a large number of foxes appearing, has a grand world view that you cannot take your eyes off of. NiziU's strong points, their visuals and sharp dance, are still present. This latest work by NiziU, who are currently pushing forward in their sixth year since debut, lets you enjoy a sound that becomes addictive the more you listen to it, impactful visuals, and their appearance as they have further grown and gained more expressive power.
