DKB has attracted attention by revealing the real life of idols hidden behind a glamorous stage. DKB, belonging to Brave Entertainment, appeared yesterday (10th) on the YouTube channel "Human Story" and openly shared their daily lives, including dormitory life and practice processes. The relevant video was released under the title "7 Years with 0 Won Income, 7 Idols Living Hard for Their Dreams," gathering much interest. The footage captured the members continuing intense practice ahead of their concert in Japan. Even during repeated dance practices, they showed unwavering concentration and immersed themselves in preparing for the stage. The members expressed, "Even for one song, we approach it with the mindset of showing a solid performance on stage," revealing their sense of responsibility and professionalism as artists. The energetic performances reminiscent of actual shows were also eye-catching. The process of music production was also revealed. The members were depicted brainstorming choreography and collaborating while dividing parts, with leader Ichan showing his dedication to music production late into the night in the studio. The members emphasized that their passion for music and the stage is the greatest driving force behind their continued activities, stating, "If we were chasing money, we wouldn't have chosen this job." They also opened up about the realistic worries of being an idol. Heechan recalled his childhood, saying, "I thought being an idol meant living a glamorous life flying around on airplanes." In response, Ichan said, "I expected a star's life, but often feel emptiness in reality," adding, "Without schedules, there isn't much we can do, so we end up working hard to grow ourselves." They continued with candid confessions about their financial situation. Ichan stated, "We manage food expenses at around 20,000 won (about 2,200 yen) a day," and expressed hesitation in discussing earnings, saying, "If it were just about making money, it would have been difficult to choose this profession." He further explained the realistic situation, saying, "Since we are active as seven members, there are many costs for styling, recording, mixing, and album production." Member Yook mentioned the situation regarding profit distribution, revealing, "Revenue only occurs after earning several times the amount invested by the company," and added, "We still haven't crossed the break-even point." Nevertheless, the members expressed gratitude to the company. GK said, "I am grateful to the company for feeding us, letting us sleep, and creating an environment for us to practice for seven years." The members described their current situation as a shared "investment process" they endure together. Ichan added, "Since this is the path we chose ourselves, we continue to work hard with a sense of responsibility." Their trust in each other and love for their fans were also impressive. The members revealed they trust each other deeply enough to want to continue as DKB even if they were reborn. They conveyed that the support from their fan club "BB" is a significant source of strength and the reason they continue to work hard without giving up. In the latter part of the video, DKB left a message for young people pursuing their dreams. The members encouraged, "If you don't give up until the end, opportunities will come to anyone," and added, "In two years, we want to say to ourselves, 'Thank you for your hard work. Let's stay healthy.'" Since their debut in 2020, DKB has been recognized as a talented group not only for songwriting and composing but also for choreography production. With solid performances and musical talent, they have garnered strong support from K-POP fans both domestically and internationally. After the video's release, various reactions emerged online. Comments included, "The members' efforts and authenticity felt more than the title of 0 won settlement," "I want to support their journey towards their dreams even amid harsh realities," and "I was surprised by the fact that they haven't received any settlement yet."
