Rosé of BLACKPINK has been named a candidate in 8 categories for the '2025 MTV Video Music Awards (2025 MTV VMA).' According to the candidate list announced on the 5th (local time), Rosé's song 'APT.' sung with Bruno Mars has been nominated for major awards such as Video of the Year and Song of the Year. Additionally, it has been nominated for Best Collaboration, Best Pop, Best Direction, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects. 'APT.' is a track from Rosé's 1st full album 'rosie,' released on December 6 last year. Released as a pre-release single, it dominated global music charts upon release and created a syndrome. Besides 'APT.,' Rosé has also been nominated for Best K-POP for her title track 'Toxic Til the End,' making a total of 8 nominations. While Lady Gaga has 12 nominations, Bruno Mars has 11, and Quadric Lab has 10, Rosé will compete as a candidate in 8 categories alongside Sabrina Carpenter. In the Best K-POP category, not only Rosé but also Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa from BLACKPINK have been nominated for their solo albums, attracting attention.
