RIIZE held a special event commemorating the release of the new single “Insomnia” and interacted with fans at a closer distance. For four days from Monday, October 26 to Thursday, October 29, they held the fan event “RIIZE into INSOMNIA” at SPACE S50 in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, South Korea. As an event where “Insomnia” could be enjoyed from various angles, including stage, talk, exhibition, and experience, it attracted a great deal of attention. On the night of Monday, October 26, they gave the first live performance of “Insomnia.” In addition, they also performed songs with a calm emotional quality such as “Something's in the Water” and “Honestly,” and held talks on various themes reminiscent of a late-night radio show, including behind-the-scenes stories of the single’s production, advice from fans about their worries, and Q&A. On this day, RIIZE said about “Insomnia,” “The more you listen to it, the better it really is, and it is a song chosen unanimously by all the members,” revealing behind-the-scenes details of its production, and said, “It is the first acoustic pop we have ever tried, so we were worried whether we could express it well, but we are happy that BRIIZE likes it so much. The title of the song is ‘Insomnia,’ but we want BRIIZE to always sleep soundly without any worries.” On the following 27th (Tuesday), EUNSEOK and SUNGCHAN appeared as a pair; on the 28th (Wednesday), SHOWNU? and ANTON appeared as a pair; and on the 29th (Thursday), WONBIN and SOHEE appeared as a pair. Through unique experience contents such as DIY T-shirt pajamas useful for sleepless “insomnia” times, book readings, and sleep stretches, they entertained fans. Furthermore, an exhibition related to “Insomnia” was also presented across two floors. A listening space where one could enjoy music together with each member’s individually recorded, personality-filled “good night messages,” and a space composed of the imagery and objects from the music video, were visited by more than 1,400 people every day and drew great attention. The single “Insomnia,” digitally released on Monday, October 26, is a song in which RIIZE challenged acoustic pop for the first time. Centered on lyrical guitar sounds, it harmonizes a quiet yet somehow lonely atmosphere with the members’ plain but wistful vocals, bringing out RIIZE’s unique emotional charm. After its release, it took first place overall and in the Single category on QQ Music’s digital album sales chart, one of China’s largest music platforms. It surpassed sales of 250,000 yuan and received a “Gold” certification; in addition, it recorded first place on the share popularity chart and first place overall and in the Korea category on the Music Video chart. Furthermore, it took first place on Kugou Music’s digital album sales chart and first place on Tencent Music’s K-POP chart. In Japan, it ranked 2nd on LINE MUSIC’s “Real-time New Song TOP100” and 3rd on the “Real-time Song TOP100,” drawing attention by recording high positions on various charts. Immediately after its release, it also took first place in two regions, Argentina and Chile, on the iTunes Top Songs chart, and entered the TOP 10 in eight regions worldwide, including Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Panama, making a strong global start. In the music video, the story of “people who cannot sleep” is expressed with cinematic direction. In the drama-style video, the six members also challenge emotional acting suited to each of their characters. RIIZE will appear on music programs airing this week, starting with KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” today, Friday, October 30, followed by MBC’s “Show! Music Core” on Saturday, October 31, and SBS’s “Inkigayo” on Sunday, November 1, and will perform the stage of “Insomnia.” Also in Japan, they released their 3rd Japanese single “Sunburst” on Wednesday, August 26. Immediately after release, it recorded strong sales and debuted at No. 2 on both the Oricon Weekly Single Ranking dated September 7, 2026, and Billboard JAPAN’s weekly single sales chart “Top Singles Sales.” Sales continued to grow afterward, and it received a “Platinum” certification in the August 2026 Gold Disc, once again proving its high popularity in Japan. Furthermore, the song “Rise Over” from “Sunburst” was chosen as the official cheering song for the tournament “SoftBank Winter Cup 2026,” which decides Japan’s high school basketball champion. The song supports high school students challenging themselves toward their dreams and goals. Even now, about two months after release, attention to “Sunburst” continues, and it is recording a long hit by re-entering the Oricon rankings. RIIZE is drawing attention as they show new musical appeal with “Insomnia” and continue to build even greater momentum in Japan.
