TVXQ’s Changmin has returned as a rocker filled with comfort and hope. Changmin released the audio for all songs from his 3rd mini album, All Of My Life, and the music video for the title track of the same name through various music streaming sites at 6 p.m. today (the 19th). This album, All Of My Life, is a new release issued about 4 years and 9 months after his 2nd mini album, Devil, released in January 2022, and it contains the message of not stopping but moving forward among the various emotions and moments one faces in life. Consisting of six tracks, this album spans from intense rock sounds to delicate ballads, proving Changmin’s broad musical world and his evolved vocal ability. In particular, he actively reflected his own thoughts and sincerity throughout the album’s production, and for the track “Yeah We Go,” he wrote the lyrics alone, adding authenticity as a solo artist. The title track, “All Of My Life,” is a pop-rock song that delivers a powerful energy with sentimental electric guitar sounds and strong drums, and Changmin’s delicate yet explosive vocals give listeners a refreshing sense of exhilaration. The lyrics, such as “Countless days keep passing by / My life is a one-time drama scene / In any moment I keep going / All of my life all of my life all of my life,” depict a figure who calmly walks his own path through any crisis and moves forward while affirming life. The music video, released at the same time, also boasted cinematic visual beauty. Against the backdrop of the song’s grand band sound, it includes people living their respective daily lives and Changmin transforming into various forms, from a knight in a fairy tale to a rocker. As Changmin enters his 24th year since debut this year, anticipation is rising for what new sides he will show as a solo artist.
