Yoo Ah-in has signed an exclusive contract with a new agency. Entertainment company BILLIONS announced today (the 21st), "We have signed an exclusive contract with actor Yoo Ah-in." It continued, "BILLIONS takes seriously the concerns surrounding Yoo Ah-in's series of past incidents and his recent resumption of activities. Therefore, prior to the contract, we had many long, candid conversations with Yoo Ah-in, repeatedly, and deeply considered the responsibility and attitude necessary for him to begin activities again as an actor, as well as the direction he should take going forward." It then said, "After a careful and thorough process, we decided to make a new start together with Yoo Ah-in." It continued, "What Yoo Ah-in valued most in his contract with BILLIONS was not better terms or superficial support merely for resuming activities, but a true partner who would always think together with him and walk alongside him through the heavy and cautious process of asking the public for forgiveness and understanding and building trust step by step. He was seeking a partner who would sincerely stand by him on the long and not easy road to rising again as a completely new actor, not as an extension of the past." It also said, "BILLIONS also sympathizes with these feelings, and we want to walk together from a long-term perspective so that, without rushing, while the actor himself fulfills the responsibilities he must bear, he can build new trust with the public." It continued, "BILLIONS plans to carefully support Yoo Ah-in's overall activities going forward, create a stable environment in which he can continue steady and healthy activities, and continue to provide generous support so that Yoo Ah-in can concentrate on his work as an actor." Furthermore, it added, "We do not intend to dismiss the time of the past or try to get over it quickly. We fully understand that, in order to regain trust, above all, deep reflection and an earnest attitude are necessary. BILLIONS promises to be a responsible partner so that Yoo Ah-in can once again carve out his own path without falsehood." Finally, it added, "We will take the current concerns seriously, listen sincerely to criticism from the public and the media, and also face necessary dialogue honestly. In addition, together with reflection on past mistakes, we will carefully and sincerely work so that the actor's own will regarding works and acting is clearly conveyed through future time and actions. Please watch over us warmly." Previously, Yoo Ah-in announced his return through director Jang Jae-hyun's new film 'Vampire.' He was indicted on suspicion of administering medical narcotics such as propofol 181 times from September 2020 to January 2023, and of illegally prescribing and purchasing more than 1,100 sleeping pills 44 times from May 2021 to August 2022 using another person's name. In the first trial in September 2024, he was sentenced to one year in prison and was incarcerated at Seoul Detention Center, but in the second trial held in February 2025, he received a sentence of one year in prison with two years' probation and was released after five months in custody. In July of this year, it was reported that Galaxy Corporation, the agency of BIGBANG's G-DRAGON, had offered Yoo Ah-in a contract fee of 5 billion won (about 500 million yen), drawing attention. BILLIONS is home to Kim Ha-neul, Cho Bo-ah, Lee Jun-young (Jun of U-KISS), Apink's Jeong Eun-ji, and INFINITE's Woohyun. • Yoo Ah-in, convicted for drugs, to return after three years through new film 'Vampire'... script reading site revealed • Yoo Ah-in, convicted for drugs, spreads an intimate photo with a man... what is their relationship?
