EVNNE made a comeback with their 6th mini album, "on: our noise." Through this album, EVNNE gathered the sounds they like on their own and mixed them together, finding new fun within them. Rather than who likes what, they listened to what is currently driving them. When the five members gather in the same place, each plays their own sound and reacts to one another’s sounds, and each of those fragments, before they know it, accumulates into music that belongs only to EVNNE. For this album jacket, they included a day in the life of the five members who became a "music collecting circle." Wearing ID cards around their necks, they walk through their usual town and gently listen to the sounds and scenery they normally would not notice and would pass by. The rustle of the air echoing under the overpass, the moment sunlight sparkles, a bicycle carrying a speaker as it rides by, the vibrations created by trains and cars, and even the sounds coming from beyond the alley. Different sounds and landscapes each accumulate as one record within the five members’ gaze. The fragments of sound gathered in that way then take shape as different music again on the rooftop where the members gather. A time to listen, talk, joke around, and enjoy together the things they like while looking at the same scenery. There is no grand reason, and no need to be recognized by anyone. Such a 모습 of the five is EVNNE’s most honest attitude toward facing music. The music video for "LOOK AT MA" is another record of that "music collecting circle." From an underground space, the five members head up to the ground in search of new sounds. Each brings the sounds they collected in their own way, and mixes and combines them. As their movements and energy collide and overlap, a single sound that could not have been created by one person alone is completed. Perhaps their sound may sound like unpleasant noise to someone. But not every sound needs to be understood. Even if it sounds a little rough, a little noisy, and at times like mere static, to us it is certainly music. The five waves mix together once again, and on top of the path they have built over the past three years, they carve another record. Because they are together, this noise is even more fun, and EVNNE continues moving today in their own way.
