A conflict is arising over the ending of the fan communication platform “bubble” for EXO-CBX, the unit of EXO’s Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin. Recently, Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin announced through bubble messages, “We will end our use of bubble as of September 30, 2026 (KST). We plan to separately inform you once a new place for communicating with fans is prepared.” However, bubble stated, “The relevant post content was not something that was agreed upon with our company in advance,” and added, “We understand that artists Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin are in a dispute with their agency, but the contract regarding the bubble service that our company signed remains valid, and it has not been decided whether the service will be terminated. We have received contact from the artists’ representatives and are trying to proceed with amicable discussions.” Meanwhile, the three started using another fan communication platform, “Prom,” on the 7th of this month. In relation to this, on the 9th bubble clarified its position, saying, “Since the contract regarding the bubble service signed with our company remains valid, we repeatedly requested discussions through the artists’ representatives in order to resolve this matter amicably, but the artists’ side did not respond to the discussions.” It further said, “In the meantime, our company learned on October 7, 2026 that the artists had started using the service through another company. This was also not something that had been discussed,” and added, “Even though we informed them that the bubble service contract cannot be terminated by the artists’ unilateral notice alone, we are very sorry that this situation has come about.” Bubble said that, because it judged that it would be difficult to provide a complete service without the artists’ cooperation, it had no choice but to decide to end the service. As a result, EXO-CBX’s bubble will end service on November 20. EXO-CBX filed a main lawsuit and a provisional injunction against their agency INB100 on the basis of unpaid settlement money and other issues. The Civil Agreement Division 50 of the Seoul Central District Court accepted, on September 15 before the main lawsuit, the provisional injunction request filed by EXO-CBX to suspend the effectiveness of the exclusive contract. On November 4, the first hearing of the main lawsuit seeking confirmation of the nonexistence of the exclusive contract’s validity is scheduled to be held at the Seoul Central District Court in Seocho-gu, Seoul. • EXO Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen: effectiveness of exclusive contract suspended... court accepts it, saying “the foundation of trust has collapsed” • EXO Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen demand contract termination from agency... claim contract breach over unpaid settlements
