ONEUS advances to a new chapter. ONEUS will release the single 'Gen' on the 20th at 6 PM through various music distribution sites. 'Gen' signifies ONEUS's roots and beginnings. They depict a story of rebirth, not merely returning to the past, but facing their origins and being reborn. The title track is 'Grenade,' with members Conhee and Fanun writing captivating lyrics to enhance its quality. The song features a bold sound centered around heavy bass, expressing uncontrolled extreme emotions, maximizing the tension of the track as the suppressed energy explodes. -- This is the release of the single 'Gen' about 7 months after the previous work. Please share your thoughts on the comeback and introduce the album. Id: This is the last album ONEUS will showcase under RBW, the first album of the new year, and an album with a new style. Although it is 'the last,' I think it perfectly fits the phrase 'a new beginning.' It feels strange, but I am also filled with expectations. Conhee: Recently, we celebrated our 7th anniversary, and naturally reflected on the time ONEUS has spent so far. I felt we have worked really hard, and because of that, I have a strong desire to continue growing. I hope this album serves as a stepping stone to the next phase. Fanun: I am excited thinking that 'Gen' will kick off an impactful start in 2026. Since this is a new challenge for us, I look forward to seeing how everyone will receive it. Sion: This is the first album of 2026. I am grateful to greet our fans with a new album on our 7th anniversary. Since this album captures a new beginning, I also want to convey the message that ONEUS will show even more in the future. -- 'Gen' means the roots and beginnings of ONEUS. What do you think is the 'root of ONEUS'? Id: I believe the root of ONEUS is the people who love us. It is TO. MOON (the name of our fans) and everyone who has supported ONEUS. I feel that because they recognized us and poured their love, ONEUS has been able to continue standing on stage. Sion: I think it is 'us.' Each of us has a different color, and we have created a unique color of ONEUS through the time we spent together. Now, I want to say that our color is the color of ONEUS itself. -- Conhee and Fanun participated in writing the lyrics for the title track 'Grenade.' Can you tell us what aspects you focused on while writing the lyrics? Conhee: According to the theme of the album, we started working by focusing on what we truly want to convey as ONEUS. We boldly cut out parts that we felt did not convey our sincerity well or did not fit ONEUS. Fanun: In the early stages of the work, I wrote the lyrics while imagining situations that fit the identity of the word 'Grenade.' The state of pulling the pin and not knowing when it will explode strangely resembled our appearance of throwing ourselves toward our goals without stopping. I wanted to express the conflicting emotions of confidence and precariousness. -- As they are called 'performers representing the 4th generation,' attention is also focused on the performance of 'Grenade.' Are there any parts of the stage performance that should be noted? Fanun: I hope you pay attention to the refined and concise movements amidst the intense performance that continues without rest. The choreography of the chorus, where we pull the pin of the grenade with our teeth and throw it, expresses a precarious and tense situation, and the 'explosive' part that signals a twist is a highlight. -- This is also the last album released by the agency RBW. I think it holds deep meaning for ONEUS, but what does this album mean to you? Sion: This is the first time I have felt this emotion. Since I started making music with RBW, I wondered if this is what it feels like to leave home and step into the outside world. I feel scared, but at the same time, I am excited. Although this is the last album with RBW, we will continue to greet you with more music as ONEUS, so please keep watching us. -- Lastly, please say a word to TO. MOON. Id: In 2026, ONEUS has returned with a new album. For this comeback, we prepared really hard for music and stages that ONEUS has never shown before, so I hope TO. MOON will like it. Please give us lots of love. Conhee: TO. MOON! Thank you for watching and supporting this new challenge of ONEUS. We will continue to show you various music and stages. I want to be together forever. Please support us in this activity too! Fanun: We have prepared wonderful songs and performances that will blow away your worries and stress. I hope you enjoy it warmly during this cold winter. Let's burn out completely in this activity. I love you, TO. MOON. Sion: To our TO. MOON, I am really happy to meet you like this at the beginning of the new year. Based on the trust we have built up until now, I want TO. MOON to enjoy themselves in the places we have been. We prepared with all our might, so please give us lots of love. Thank you always, I love you.
