The Korean Drama Production Association officially announced on the 15th the production of the third OTT drama "Today, Thanks for Your Hard Work" as part of a project for an OTT (video distribution service) content-focused educational program involving current drama producers and aspiring producers. Recently, filming has begun for this work, featuring the two main characters played by Cosmic Girls' Eunseo and Cho Gi-seong. The drama "Today, Thanks for Your Hard Work" (directed by Kim Kyung-eun, written by Min Cho-dan) depicts the story of a perfectionist outsider marketer Hong Yeo-won (Eunseo), who is always alone, and a passionate insider salesman Yoon Jeong-jin (Cho Gi-seong), who is popular with everyone, as they unexpectedly become roommates due to unforeseen circumstances and create new changes together. The story illustrates how these two contrasting office workers influence each other positively while searching for what they truly desire, sending a message of "Thank you for your hard work today" to all working adults striving in this era. The setting of "Today, Thanks for Your Hard Work" is a foreign pharmaceutical company. Eunseo plays the role of project manager Hong Yeo-won in the marketing team. Yeo-won is known for her perfect work performance and is recognized by her colleagues as a problem solver. However, she eats lunch alone, skips drinking parties, and strictly adheres to leaving work on time, making her a perfect outsider. On the other hand, Cho Gi-seong plays the role of team leader Yoon Jeong-jin, a passionate yes-man and the best salesman who is friendly to everyone, but he has been putting off marriage due to work. He suddenly gets dumped by his girlfriend of four years. Thus, these two very different individuals end up living together by chance, sparking a new growth story. In 2022, the Korean Drama Production Association launched a collaborative project through an OTT content-focused educational program to train aspiring producers in drama planning and development, while current professionals share their know-how in content planning and production. This initiative aims to cultivate producers for OTT content production in the new media era, mixing the expertise of professional drama producers with the creativity of aspiring producers to create fresh works. So far, they have produced the comedic growth drama "Gangster's Vlog," which is currently being distributed on various OTT platforms like TVING and Wavve, and the meaningful project "I Will Do It for You," which is scheduled for release later this year. The Korean Drama Production Association stated, "Following 'Gangster's Vlog' and 'I Will Do It for You,' we will continue the project to train drama producers through 'Today, Thanks for Your Hard Work' in 2024. This year, director Kim Kyung-eun, who co-directed ENA's 'Oh! Youngsim - The Return of First Love,' and writer Min Cho-dan will team up to enhance the quality of the production with the long-standing know-how of active producers. Filming is expected to be completed in October, followed by post-production, with plans to showcase a well-made office growth drama through OTT platforms early next year, so we hope for much interest in this meaningful project."
