Hani of NewJeans clarified the misunderstanding that she was banned from taking Korean language classes. She did this through the global fandom life platform on November 22, dispelling the misunderstanding that had arisen in some quarters. Prior to this, Hani revealed the background to her inaction after being told on the 21st that she did not need to learn more Korean. Afterward, claims spread that ADOR, her agency, had obstructed her Korean language classes. The next day, Hani directly denied these rumors. She said, "It seems that there was a little misunderstanding," and explained, "I said I wanted to learn Korean to a manager I have since quit a year ago. They lightly answered (in jest) at the time, so I also lightly took it as a joke." She then said, "I wanted to have an interesting conversation with the Bunnies (NewJeans fans), but it seems that it didn't come across as I intended," and apologized, saying, "The representative (Min Hye-jin) and other people at the agency had no idea, so I'm really sorry to everyone." Finally, she added, "The situation has become much bigger than I thought, and I was very surprised. It is absolutely not such a situation. I wanted to dispel the misunderstanding. I hope Bunnies don't misunderstand and don't worry." On the same day, ADOR also released an official statement. ADOR conveyed, "Regarding NewJeans' language education, ADOR negotiates with instructors according to the needs of each member and allocates educational time, and has also separately implemented language education tailored to Hani's needs recently. The same applies to Korean language education." Finally, they said, "I think it is an important responsibility of ADOR to support any decision by the members without hesitation," and added, "As before, ADOR will continue to support NewJeans, exerting passion and sincerity, and fulfilling its responsibility. Therefore, we ask that you refrain from indiscriminate speculation and interpretation of privacy-related matters for the members." ADOR also clarified the rumors about Haein. The agency said, "Haein's certification exams and homeschooling are completely the choice and decision of her parents, and regarding dental correction, it is not true that she had laminate treatment.
