The news of the stars' donations was announced on Children's Day (the 5th) when IU's agency EDAM Entertainment revealed that IU donated a total of 100 million won in the name of 'IUAENA' (IU + UAENA, the name of her fans). IU's donation was divided equally between the Korean Child Welfare Association and the National Association of Regional Child Centers, each receiving 50 million won. The funds are expected to support items and medical expenses for children living in welfare facilities and provide gifts and cultural experiences for children at regional child centers celebrating their birthdays.
