DKB has made a comeback after about 15 months with their 9th mini-album "Emotion." They officially released the 9th mini-album "Emotion" today (23rd) at 6 PM through various music distribution sites and offline. This work depicts the changes in emotions and stories that everyone can empathize with, based on the universal theme of "love," with a deeper and more mature musical expression. The 9th mini-album "Emotion," which has engraved DKB's musical identity more deeply, expresses the complex emotions brought by love through diverse genres in each track, including ironic excitement, irresistible temptation, freedom and liberation, passionate romance, and farewells and beginnings. All members participated in the lyrics, composition, and choreography of all songs, including the title track, packing in real and rich emotions. The title track "Irony" is a pop-rock number with an impressive addictive guitar riff. It straightforwardly expresses the "ironic emotions" of confusion over whether a lover's actions are "love or just a joke" over a rhythmic and powerful sound. The duality of sweet and bewildering emotions is depicted through DKB's unique vocals and performance, showcasing further musical growth. The album also contains many unique tracks. "Snake," which fuses hip-hop and trap bass, is an addictive song expressing the alluring yet dangerous temptation and tension like a snake. The crossover song "Weekend" blends hip-hop and rock, depicting moments of enjoying freedom and liberation as if there were no tomorrow, like a weekend, as expressed in the lyrics. Furthermore, the dance-pop track "Cinderella" incorporates a 90s sensibility, merging distorted guitars with a romantic message, expressing a strong romance that "can overcome any trial with the power of love." The final track, "Hello, Goodbye (Rollercoaster)," is a new version of the single "Rollercoaster" restructured with English lyrics, creating an emotional track that coexists with nostalgia and freshness. Thus, the 9th mini-album "Emotion" symbolizes DKB's high musicality and creative elements. With a wide range of genres and high-quality sound, it is expected to capture hearts worldwide once again.
