RIIZE's Woosung apologized for using a racially discriminatory expression. Today (6th), through a fan communication platform, he stated, "Yesterday, while sending my childhood photo, I used an incorrect expression. I apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to my careless thoughts and inappropriate word choice." He added, "I realized my mistake yesterday and deleted it immediately, but thinking of those who may have already been hurt weighs heavily on my heart, and I decided to send this message again. From now on, I will think and act more carefully. I sincerely apologize." Prior to this, on May 5, coinciding with Children's Day, Woosung sent his childhood photo through the fan communication platform. Along with this, he sent the message "Kamdungi (meaning black child, also used as a derogatory term for Black people) Woosung." After sending this message, he realized his carelessness and deleted it immediately. RIIZE will make a comeback with their 2nd mini-album on June 15. Prior to this, in celebration of Children's Day on May 5, they donated 30 million won (about 300,000 yen) to a children's facility in Korea under the name of their official fan club BRIIZE.
