SEVENTEEN's Vernon will challenge the world record of kendama at the "NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen." According to the announcement, he will participate in "Donkozaka - The 7th Kendama World Record" by Hiroshi Miyama. Others who have been decided as volunteer members include Masago Anami of Ryokuoushoku Shakai, Takahiro Ogata of Panther, DJ KOO, and Time Machine 3. This project is a challenge to the Guinness World Record of kendama and has become a tradition of the New Year's Eve. Last year, the record for "the longest line of people catching kendama continuously" was achieved by 127 people. And this year, they aim to achieve the feat of "4 consecutive record achievements" by challenging with 128 people. The "74th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen" to be broadcast from 7:20 pm on Sunday, December 31, will be hosted by Hiroyuki Ariyoshi, Kanana Hashimoto, Minami Hamabe, and announcer Kozo Takase, with 44 singers participating.
