STAYC shed their teen fresh concept and attempted a bold image change. They held a media showcase to celebrate the release of their 1st full album "Metamorphic" at YES24 Live Hall in Kwangjin-gu, Seoul this afternoon (1st). This album is their first new album in 11 months since the release of their 3rd mini-album "TEENFRESH" in August last year. Jay expressed excitement for their comeback after a year, while Si-eun and Se-eun also shared their excitement and nerves. Isa mentioned they prepared the full album well and asked for a lot of interest. Sumin hoped for love for the music that incorporates STAYC's new image. Yoon added they will show many interesting performances. The release of the full album is special for the members as it is their first since their debut in November 2020. Sumin explained they are excited to release their 1st full album in 4 years and that the album consists of 14 songs showcasing STAYC's changed music. Si-eun expressed their desire to show a more perfect album and how meaningful it is for them and their fans. The title track "Cheeky Icy Thang" reflects STAYC's new charm. Producer Black Eyed Pilseung advised Sumin during recording, which left a lasting impression. Isa mentioned discussions with producers and the album's different styles. Si-eun introduced the new song's cheeky vibe and shared their goals for this activity. They released the new album "Metamorphic" today at 6 p.m. through various music streaming sites.
