Siren is a buddy-cop investigation drama in which a self-made ace detective who commutes by bicycle, a third-generation chaebol police university student who commutes in a supercar, and a mentor trying to drive him out and a trainee who has no intention of leaving engage in a dog-and-cat relationship. Kang Ki-young plays detective Si-woo at Gangnam Police Station in the film. He is a special-recruitment graduate who only wanted promotion, but because of the third-generation chaebol police university student who barges into the crime scene, the arrest operation goes awry and he is placed in danger of disciplinary action. The two, who thought they would never meet again, reunite the next day at Gangnam Police Station as mentor and trainee. Kim Ji-woong plays Do-yoon, the youngest son of the Kangseo Group and a police university student who dreams of becoming a police officer. He is a person who decided to become a police officer after a certain incident in the past, and he is so serious about the job that he solves things by mobilizing money and connections when things do not go well. He and the detective, who has no intention of quitting on his own, clash at every turn as the detective tries to somehow drive him out, but in the end they become partners and carry out an unpredictable investigation together. Director Oh Ki-hwan, who directed the film Rules of Dating and the drama i Shopping: The Returned Children, is behind the camera, and the film has now finished all filming and is in post-production with a target release in 2027.
