Chu won the appeal against her former agency, Blockberry Creative. On the 8th, the Seoul High Court Civil Division 7 held an appeal trial for the confirmation of the invalidity of the exclusive contract lawsuit filed by Chu against Blockberry Creative. On this day, the court ruled in favor of the plaintiff (Chu) as in the first trial, explaining that the court had validly concluded. Chu debuted as a member of LOONA in 2016, but in 2021, she filed for a temporary suspension of the exclusive contract effectiveness with the court against Blockberry Creative. In the first trial held in August last year, she received a judgment of complete victory. As a result, the exclusive contract effectiveness was lost, and Blockberry Creative was required to bear all the litigation costs. In response, Blockberry Creative submitted an appeal stating dissatisfaction with the first trial's judgment. In April last year, Chu signed an exclusive contract with the newly established agency ATRP.
