Mu Jin-sung, who appeared in "Teppun Trading," conveyed an episode with 2PM's Junho. Recently, Mu Jin-sung conducted an interview with Newsen to commemorate the end of the tvN drama "Teppun Trading" (directed by Lee Na-jung and Kim Dong-fi, written by Jang Hyun). "Teppun Trading" depicts the struggles and growth of a rookie trader, Kang Teppun (2PM's Junho), who becomes the president of a trading company with no employees, money, or goods during the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Mu Jin-sung took on the role of Pyo Hyun-jun, who keeps Kang Teppun in check, leaving a strong impression. Pyo Hyun-jun feels inferior to Kang Teppun since childhood and shows one-sided hostility when the person he likes shows affection for Kang Teppun. Mu Jin-sung delicately expressed the intertwined feelings of inferiority and competitiveness in Pyo Hyun-jun, receiving positive reviews. The long filming lasted about nine months, starting in February and continuing until mid-October. Mu Jin-sung shared, "It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I spent a year with 'Teppun Trading.' It became a daily routine to go to the filming site every morning, but I felt a sense of emptiness after the project ended. Although it's regrettable, I'm thrilled that we could finish safely without any accidents. I'm happy that the final episode's viewership exceeded 10%." Regarding his co-starring with Junho, Mu Jin-sung said, "There were many scenes where I appeared alone, so I hesitate to say we co-starred, but when I filmed the scene where I confronted Teppun head-on in the latter half, I was very surprised." He reflected, "He had a deep energy. I felt a strong good energy and acted while firmly accepting that flow." He added, "There were many scenes where Hyun-jun tormented and angered Teppun, but thanks to Junho's support, I could naturally react. That was really good. I approached the filming with the happy feeling of 'How can I do this better?'" Prior to this, Junho revealed in an interview that he was very close to Mu Jin-sung in a two-shot scene, saying, "We were close enough to kiss." In response, Mu Jin-sung said, "I didn't think I was looking at his lips that much. It was acting to provoke and tease Teppun, but it seemed like a romance (laughs)." He shared that when the cut was called, Junho joked, "Your lips are very sexy. Why are they so cherry-like?" conveying the atmosphere on set. On Mu Jin-sung's birthday during filming, Junho and the "Teppun Trading" team surprised him with a cake. The video of this moment exceeded 1.8 million views on Mu Jin-sung's SNS, becoming a hot topic. He expressed, "I think they were happy to see me getting along with Teppun. Even though we fought in the drama to the point of wanting to kill each other, in reality, we are good friends." He added, "It would be a lie to say I didn't expect it, but it was more meaningful because Teppun celebrated it himself." For Mu Jin-sung, "Teppun Trading" is a special work. He said, "There was a time when I didn't have work for two years. Therefore, the fact that I could focus on one project for a year was a source of strength and happiness. Because I had a tough time, I approached filming with gratitude. Every morning, I looked forward to going to the filming site. In the past, when I didn't have work, I sometimes wanted to sleep all day. This time, I spent each day thinking about 'who I would create scenes with.'" Finally, he thanked the audience, saying, "Thank you for watching the long project until the end. As the theme of the drama suggests, nothing can be done alone. The most important thing is people, and I believe that people come together to achieve something in life. I hope you remember the message 'You are not alone' that 'Teppun Trading' conveyed and feel empowered."
