The pre-order number for BTS's 5th full album "ARIRANG" has surpassed 4 million copies in just one week since the start. According to the album distribution company YG PLUS, as of the 22nd, the pre-order number for BTS's 5th full album "ARIRANG" recorded 4.06 million copies. This achievement was made just one week after the pre-sale began on the 16th of this month. This record exceeds the total sales of BTS's previous album, the 4th album "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7," which had the highest cumulative sales among BTS albums. That album recorded 3.42 million copies in the first week of pre-sale in 2020 and later surpassed 5 million copies (according to Circle Chart). The new album is increasing its pre-order numbers at a faster pace. Especially, "ARIRANG" has about two months left until its release, and there is great attention on how much it will update its record by the end of the pre-sale. Interest in BTS's comeback is clearly reflected in various indicators. After the announcement of the new album release and world tour, the number of membership subscribers on Weverse surged nearly threefold. Additionally, on the global music streaming service Spotify, pre-saves surpassed 1 million in two days and 2 million on the fourth day. There is also anticipation about whether it will break the record for the most pre-saves ever, held by Taylor Swift's album "The Life of a Showgirl" with about 6 million pre-saves. BTS's 5th full album "ARIRANG," released in full form for the first time in about 3 years and 9 months, will be released on March 20 at 1 PM. This work depicts the group's identity and universal emotions such as deep love and longing, and it is expected to resonate with music fans worldwide.
