Tiffany from Girls' Generation, 10CM, Ailee, Paul Kim, Henry, and Miyeon from (G)I-DLE have joined 'VEILED CUP' in a surprise move. According to SBS on the 5th, 'VEILED CUP', a global audition project searching for Asia's best voice, will premiere in Korea on January 11 at 4:30 PM. While 'VEILED MUSICIAN', previously broadcasted through Netflix, showed the process of selecting representative vocalists from various Asian countries including Korea, China, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mongolia, and Laos, 'VEILED CUP' is an expanded version where the TOP 3 from each country clash in Korea, engaging in a vocal war for national pride. To select Asia's best vocalist, the lineup of judges for 'VEILED CUP' has become even more glamorous. Joining as judges are Tiffany, who is also active as an actress, 10CM, a representative singer-songwriter of Korea, versatile entertainer Henry, and Ailee and Paul Kim, who previously served as judges in the Korean edition of 'VEILED MUSICIAN'. Actress Lee Dahi, who has gained attention as an MC in music variety shows like 'QUEENDOM' and 'ROAD TO KINGDOM', will serve as the sole MC. Producer Lee Honghee, who is directing the show, revealed, 'I was truly amazed to see the TOP 3 from each country selected through the same format and method in 9 Asian countries during the local finals. Many participants have unique vocal characteristics from their countries, and the silhouettes are diverse, making me very excited for 'VEILED CUP'.' He continued, 'The performances of the participants gathered in Korea exceeded expectations. There were participants who sang K-POP with perfect Korean pronunciation and others who sang songs from their own countries. Although the languages differ, I felt the emotions conveyed through music and was able to feel the power that music gives once again. Additionally, since vocalists representing each country gathered, there were strange tensions and mind games, but fitting for a national competition, I hope you look forward to which country will produce the winner.'
