
SHINee's Taemin has ended his exclusive contract with Big Planet Made Entertainment, led by Chairman Cha Ga-won, and has established a new base at Galaxy Corporation. Galaxy Corporation announced today (the 11th) that they have signed an exclusive contract with Taemin, stating that they will spare no effort in supporting the synergy that can be created when Taemin's artistic power meets their cutting-edge technological capabilities. Galaxy Corporation, the first AI entertainment tech company in South Korea, is developing an entertainment tech business that combines the latest technologies such as AI and robotics with entertainment content. This contract is a strategic choice by the company to create added value by merging artists' intellectual property (IP) with digital technology. With this transfer, Taemin will be in the same agency as BIGBANG's G-DRAGON, actor Song Kang-ho, and entertainer Kim Jong-kook. Taemin debuted in 2008 as a member of SHINee and has released numerous hit songs such as 'Ring Ding Dong' and 'View,' becoming a key figure in the K-POP wave. Since his solo debut in 2014, he has showcased his performance skills as a solo artist with songs like 'Danger,' 'Move,' and 'Want.' In August 2024, he will kick off his first solo world tour 'Ephemeral Gaze' at Incheon Inspire Arena, successfully concluding a global tour with 37 performances across 20 countries in Asia, America, and Europe. After leaving SM Entertainment, where he had been for a long time, and passing through Big Planet Made Entertainment, Taemin is now moving to Galaxy Corporation to participate in multi-faceted global projects using entertainment tech technologies like AI and robotics. He will also be making his debut as the first solo male Korean singer at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, the largest music festival in America, on April 11 and 18 in the California desert.
SHINee will hold their first concert in Japan in nearly 2 years, titled '- The Trilogy I - 2026 SHINee WORLD VIII : [THE INVERT]'. Scheduled for June 5 and 7, 2026, at the Belluna Dome in Saitama, this concert celebrates their 15th anniversary in Japan and promises a unique experience for fans.
