Cha Ga-won, chairman of P Arc Group and representative of One Hundred, who was arrested and indicted on suspicion of fraud involving 30 billion won (about 3.3 billion yen), denied the charges at trial. Today (the 3rd), Criminal Division 23 of the Seoul Central District Court held the second hearing in the case involving charges against representative Cha Ga-won for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment, etc. of Specific Economic Crimes (fraud). Cha Ga-won attended together with his lawyer. Representative Cha Ga-won is accused of proposing a business using the intellectual property (IP) of affiliated entertainers, receiving a huge advance payment, and then not carrying out the business, as well as receiving a deposit of 5.4 billion won (about 594 million yen) in the process of a jeonse (a Korea-specific deposit-only housing rental system) contract with an acquaintance, but not fulfilling the contractual obligations. The scale of the damage estimated by the police amounts to about 30 billion won (about 3.3 billion yen). On this day, Cha Ga-won acknowledged having received the money, but emphasized, “There was no fact that I deceived people in the process of receiving the money, and there was no intent to do so.” The prosecution requested witness application, and witness examination is expected to be held at the next hearing on December 7. After co-founding One Hundred with singer MC Mong in 2023, representative Cha Ga-won brought in THE BOYZ, Lee Seung-gi, Lee Mu-jin, EXO’s Chen, Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Kim Dae-ho as affiliated artists, but the company fell into management difficulties. Currently, most of the artists have notified termination of their exclusive contracts.

EXO recently marked its 14th anniversary and achieved strong results with its 8th full album, REVERXE.
