BTS's Jin successfully finished his fan concert tour. On the 10th (local time), Jin held the fan concert ‘#RUNSEOKJIN EP.TOUR in AMSTERDAM’ at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This performance was the final stop of the tour that began in Korea in June and continued through Japan, America, and Europe. Jin held 18 performances in 9 cities, passionately communicating with audiences worldwide. At the end of the Amsterdam concert, Jin shared his thoughts on the tour, saying, ‘The month and a half tour is over. Although the ‘Run, Seokjin’ tour has ended, a new beginning for the group is waiting, so don’t feel too sad. I’m always by your side, and I hope you will always be by my side too. I was very happy during this month and a half, and I was able to grow even more thanks to the good energy from ARMY (the name of the fans).’ He reaffirmed his strength as a solo artist through the fan concert tour, particularly noted for being the first Korean singer to perform at London’s O2 Arena. Prior to this, all performances in Goyang, Chiba, and Osaka recorded sellouts, especially the concert at Kyocera Dome Osaka, which sold out all seats, including the top 8th floor and restricted view seats, amidst enthusiastic cheers from fans. The American tour set new records continuously. At the Anaheim Honda Center, he attracted the largest audience ever for a Korean singer. The concert at American Airlines Center in Dallas recorded a complete sellout, marking the first time for a Korean solo artist, showcasing his exceptional presence. Overseas media focused on Jin’s fan concert. The British music magazine ‘Rolling Stone UK’ rated it 5 out of 5, stating, ‘This is not just a K-POP concert. This is in the world of Kim Seokjin (Jin’s real name), and he is never ordinary,’ and added that the stage for the songs from his 2nd mini-album ‘Echo’ delivered emotions far beyond expectations. The album, covering various genres, showcased how diverse Jin’s spectrum is as a solo artist. They also noted, ‘Jin has excellent talent and warm humanity. His unique gentle and cheerful energy makes the audience want to participate on stage.’ They conveyed that this performance fully incorporated Jin as both an artist and a person, shining on stage while enjoying what he truly loves, not just showcasing his skills. The British music media ‘NME’ evaluated, ‘Jin’s performance combined innovative concepts, charismatic energy, and splendid stage production.’ They also called Jin an ‘extraordinary performer,’ adding that he shone brightest during moments focused on singing the songs. Other media praised him, with the ‘Los Angeles Times’ stating, ‘He showed a masterclass in fan communication. His performance was planned like a special love letter to fans with delightful and sophisticated energy,’ and ‘Forbes’ noting, ‘This performance was a stage born from the desire for the audience to fully enjoy.’ Jin showcased various genres of songs and expanded communication through games and costume events, being evaluated as having opened a new horizon for fan concerts through a blend of authenticity and fun.
