It was belatedly reported that ADOR won a damages lawsuit against a YouTuber who produced malicious videos targeting NewJeans members. On June 25, Judge Lee A-young of the 13th Civil Division of the Western District Court of Seoul ordered YouTuber A to pay 5 million won (about 500,000 yen) each to Minji, Hani, and Daniel, and 7 million won (about 700,000 yen) each to Hae-rin and Hae-in. The court determined that 'the defendant made sexual expressions in each video and comment. This violates good morals and social order, is illegal, and establishes liability for damages due to the infringement of the plaintiff's personality rights.' Subsequently, A did not appeal, so this ruling was finalized on the 22nd of last month. Prior to this, A was suspected of operating a YouTube channel from April to May 2024, editing stage footage and self-produced content of NewJeans members. He was suspected of producing and publishing videos that would cause sexual shame and writing malicious comments. ADOR criminally accused A in June of last year. ADOR requested public information from an American court, secured personal information, and based on this, proceeded with a civil lawsuit in South Korea. During the lawsuit process, they emphasized the artist's defamation and malice, and won.
