GFRIEND will gather again next year before their 10th anniversary. Today (24th), SOURCE MUSIC announced, "We plan to visit fans in January for the 10th anniversary project. The members' wish to present important memories to BUDDY (the name of GFRIEND's fans) has come together, leading to the realization of this project. We ask for much expectation and interest." GFRIEND debuted in January 2015 under SOURCE MUSIC and was greatly loved for their lyrical melodies and sharp performances with songs like 'Glass Bead,' 'Me gustas tu,' 'Rough,' 'NAVILLERA,' 'LOVE WHISPER,' and 'Time for the moon night.' They received numerous awards, including the Rookie of the Year at the 'MelOn Music Awards' in 2015, Rookie of the Year at the 'Golden Disc Awards' in 2016, Best Dance Performance Female Group at 'MAMA,' and Best Girl Group at the 'Golden Disc Awards' in 2018, achieving the 'miracle of a small and medium-sized group.' Their concert revenues in Korea and abroad were also high, recording a significant overall profit. GFRIEND achieved impressive results, ranking 2nd on the MelOn annual chart and winning 71 first-place awards on music programs. After their exclusive contract with SOURCE MUSIC expired in May 2021, Eunha, SinB, and Umji formed a trio group called VIVIZ, while Kim SoWon, Yuju, and Yerin pursued careers as solo artists and actresses.
