In relation to the illegal medical practice allegations against Mr. A, known as 'Injection Aunt' of Park Na-rae, an investigation is being conducted at a hospital. According to a Korean media report yesterday (12th), the Gangnam police station in Seoul has begun an investigation into a hospital located in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam District, where Mr. A is known to have worked. The complaint received by the Gangnam police station included a request to investigate Mr. A, the hospital's founder, director, operators, and the medical staff who instructed or assisted Mr. A's medical practices. Allegations have emerged that Mr. A administered injections to Park Na-rae at an officetel in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and provided prescription-required antidepressants classified as specialized pharmaceuticals. Mr. A claimed to have become the first and youngest professor at Mongolia's Pogang Medical University Hospital, but after the Korean Medical Association pointed out his unlicensed medical practices, he deleted all his posts. Furthermore, Mr. A was said to have connections with other celebrities, including SHINee's Onew, but Onew's agency, Griffin Entertainment, clarified on the 11th that Onew first visited the Sinsa-dong hospital in April 2022 through an acquaintance's introduction. Considering the hospital's scale at that time, it was difficult for Onew to recognize the ongoing discussions about unlicensed medical practices online. They stated that Onew's visit was for skincare purposes and that the signed CD was merely a token of gratitude for the treatment, denying any illegal medical practices. Additionally, on the 12th, Channel A reported that Park Na-rae's former manager claimed to have been coerced into illegal acts such as proxy prescriptions. The former manager stated that when they did not provide the requested medication, Park Na-rae sent a message implying that it was part of artist care and that they could not escape the situation after having already provided it once, sparking further discussions.
