Kep1er has released an official statement regarding the dissolution reports. WAKEONE and SWING Entertainment, the affiliated agencies, clarified to Newsen today (25th) that they are in discussions with the members and their agencies regarding the extension of Kep1er's project activities and the reported disbandment in July. They added, "Currently, Kep1er is preparing for a new album. We ask for your support so that they can come back with good music." Kep1er is a project group formed through the Mnet survival program "Girls Planet 999: Girls Festival" broadcasted in Korea in 2021. They officially debuted in January 2022 with their first mini-album "FIRST IMPACT." Although the contract period was not officially disclosed, it was reported to be 2 years and 6 months. The agencies of each Kep1er member have been discussing the extension of contracts since last year, as the contracts are set to expire in 2024. WAKEONE stated to Newsen on September 22 last year, "As Kep1er's project activities have passed the halfway point, we voluntarily created an opportunity to discuss the long-term activity roadmap and strategic establishment of the artists, proposing the same to all affiliated agencies. However, despite our best efforts to reach a consensus among all agencies, we could not adjust this time. Since there is still time left in the activity period, we will continue to discuss sustainably with each other." Kep1er will release their Japan 1st album "<Kep1going>" on May 8. ・Kep1er, Japan 1st album title track "Straight Line" MV released!
