Today, Hoshi of SEVENTEEN, who joined the military, has once again extended a hand to build educational infrastructure for youth. Today (16th), the Gyeonggi Northern Love Foundation revealed that Hoshi recently donated 100 million won (about 1 million dollars). The donation will be used for the construction and remodeling of classrooms at the Undra Mansansa Public School in Zambia. The Mansansa Public School has about 350 students from kindergarten to 7th grade and has been operating with only two classrooms until now. Hoshi and his parents decided to build and donate two buildings with five classrooms so that students can nurture their dreams in a more stable educational environment. He also donated 100 million won to the Gyeonggi Northern Love Foundation last year to support facility improvements at the Luang Prabang Core School in Laos. Hoshi stated, 'I want to send a little strength and support to the growing children,' and expressed his hope that children can nurture their dreams more healthily in the newly built classrooms. Since his debut, he has continuously practiced sharing and has shown a good influence. He joined the Honor Society, a high donor club of the Love Foundation, after donating 100 million won in 2021. He has also actively participated in disaster recovery and support for marginalized groups and children and youth in the community. SEVENTEEN, to which he belongs, was also appointed as the first K-POP artist as a UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador and has led social contribution activities, including a donation of 1 million dollars (about 160 million yen) for youth worldwide. Today, he entered the new recruit training center to receive basic military training and will serve as an active duty soldier.
