The movie "Dolphin," starring Yuri from Girls' Generation, will be released in Korea in March. Today (February 2), Mano Entertainment, which is in charge of distribution, revealed that "Dolphin," a heartwarming film starring Yuri, which was first released at last year's Jeonju International Film Festival, has been confirmed for release in March. The film is a thoughtful depiction of a story about a woman in her 30s who has never left her small village and faces unfamiliar changes and small challenges in life. It was invited to several film festivals in Korea and abroad, including the Jeonju International Film Festival, Seoul Independent Film Festival, Moju Mountain Village Film Festival (MJFF), and Vancouver Asian Film Festival. The film was written and directed by Pe Duri, a graduate of the Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA), who made short films "Last Night," "Play," and "Closing Time." Yuri plays the role of "Nayoung," a 30-something regional newspaper reporter who faces unfamiliar changes and challenges in life, showcasing a more mature and delicate performance. The film also attracted attention for the sensitive and dense direction of the emerging director Pe Duri. The beautiful imagery of the sea village "Sochon," the warm perspective on the real worries of the local residents, and the addition of veteran actress Kil Heyoung further enhanced the completion of the film. The poster released on this day caught the eye with its rhythmic layout, refreshing colors, and Yuri's happy expression in a bowling pose. The headline "It has to be now!" stimulated curiosity about the movie. The phrase "Rolling, Rolling, Boom! Life Moment" captures the moment when a bowling ball is rolling, suggesting a sudden change in life that was previously ordinary. The title of the movie, "Dolphin," refers to the word for a bowling ball that unexpectedly bounces up like a dolphin from the gutter and knocks down the remaining pins, meaning an unexpected stroke of luck like a small miracle.
