Juno from 2PM stars in the latest work 'CASHERO - The Hero Has Cash -' which aims for a global hit as the last Netflix series of this year. On the 22nd, a production presentation for the Netflix original series 'CASHERO - The Hero Has Cash -' was held at the Westin Seoul Parnas in Gangnam, Seoul, attended by Juno, Kim Hae-jun, Kim Byung-chul, Kim Hyang-gi, Lee Che-min, Kang Han-na, and director Lee Chang-min. The story follows a salaryman, Kang Sang-woon (Juno), who struggles with wedding funds and housing prices, gaining superpowers that are as strong as the cash he holds, leading to a hero story closely tied to daily life. The series also introduces fresh character settings not seen in existing hero stories, such as Byung Ho-in (Kim Byung-chul), who can pass through any wall when drunk, and Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), who gains powerful telekinesis the more she eats. Additionally, Sang-woon’s girlfriend, Kim Min-sook (Kim Hae-jun), who fights to protect his wallet, and Jo Na-dan (Lee Che-min), the youngest member of the group 'Ordinary People' targeting Sang-woon’s powers, along with Cho Anna (Kang Han-na), a strong successor of 'Ordinary People,' are expected to add new excitement to the work. Director Lee Chang-min explained, 'I think it's an indescribable drama. It started with the setting that an ordinary salaryman, Sang-woon, can use superpowers equivalent to the amount of money he holds. It's a hero story where an ordinary person uses superpowers to protect their daily life.' He continued, 'I wanted to differentiate it from existing hero stories. I wanted to create a hero story where ordinary people can fight with their abilities, rather than battles between heroes.' Juno revealed, 'Sang-woon is a character far from extraordinary; he is just an ordinary man. He is a civil servant who has been saving hard for a new home before his marriage, but suddenly inherits superpowers from his father. He can use superpowers equivalent to the cash he holds, leading to a humorous situation where he has to spend his own money.' He added, 'Sang-woon needs a lot of money to use his powers. The reality he faces is far removed from that. He must save money for a new home and earn living expenses. Every time he uses his power for others, money goes out, creating a daily dilemma.' He expressed that the moment Sang-woon falls into the greatest dilemma is when he must spend money for others. 'If you watch the ending scene of the first episode, it clearly shows what this work wants to convey. It gives a great emotional impact, and I thought it was really interesting.' He explained that Sang-woon helps not out of voluntary assistance but in response to requests from others. 'He moves not by money but by his mindset. He comes to accept, 'This is my fate,' and it becomes heartbreaking until the end.' Regarding the chemistry of 'Team Sang-woon' with Byung Ho-in and Bang Eun-mi, he said, 'It was perfectly in sync. It was artistic.' He added, 'We acted as if we could see the invisible superpowers. In reality, we couldn't see them on set. Each movement made it feel like 'something telekinetic is visible.' It felt like we could pass through walls. The chemistry was so good that I asked the director to ensure the superpowers were well expressed.' Juno and Kim Hae-jun, who co-starred as siblings in the JTBC drama 'Just Between Lovers' in 2018, reunite as lovers after about seven years. Juno shared, 'The memories from the work seven years ago are vivid. She always has a really pleasant and good energy.' He also expressed gratitude for reuniting with Kang Han-na, with whom he co-starred in that drama, saying, 'It was great to have more enjoyable conversations than back then.' Kim Hae-jun remarked, 'Juno was my brother seven years ago, but this time he is my boyfriend. Especially since this time we have a long-term relationship of nine years, it felt relaxed. Since most of my scenes were with Juno back then, I relied on him a lot. I was happy from the moment we reunited. I relied on him a lot during this shoot too. I appreciate that he cared for me and was a strong presence.' Lee Che-min, who rose to stardom in the tvN drama 'The Chef of the Tyrant,' challenges his first villain role. He expressed, 'It was truly an honor to co-star with senior Juno. I wondered how he could be so cool while acting. He is also good at dancing, so he used his body really well in the action scenes.' He shared, 'There were many action scenes where we had to sync our breaths, but seeing him handle everything alone made me question if I could do that too. However, I gained a lot of courage and guidance. It was a dream-like shoot.' When MC Park Kyung-rim asked, 'Did you prepare comments?' Juno replied, 'It smells like you prepared.' He continued, 'I really appreciate the comments from rising star Lee Che-min. What was particularly good was that I remember the scene when I first acted with Che-min. At that time, he was very focused, and I could see how hard he was trying to express what he had prepared.' He added, 'Seeing his preparation before we started shooting made me feel very good. I felt that he was flexible in responding to sync during acting. I enjoyed acting with Che-min.' He also said, 'I wish we could have met more often. When we unintentionally act out what we prepared, there can be conflicting situations depending on the scene, but sometimes we become close. Depending on the scene, there was also a moderate distance. However, by the end, we became quite close, so I felt sad when the shoot ended.' When asked about the points he was careful about in creating his villain role, Lee Che-min said, 'Since it was my first villain role, I focused on the hunting aspect.' He explained, 'This character does not choose means if there is an objective. I tried to enjoy the sense of hunting in that situation and acted with that mindset. I hoped to heighten the tension of the drama.' Lee Che-min and Kang Han-na, who co-starred as the king and the concubine in 'The Chef of the Tyrant,' reunite as villain siblings. Kang Han-na expressed, 'We were perfectly in sync. Especially when filming the scene where Jo Na-dan (Lee Che-min) and I engage in a psychological battle, I was genuinely scared when I looked into Lee Che-min's eyes. Thinking 'this is scary,' I did my best to show the real chemistry of a brother and sister.' Juno stated, 'When acting, I don't think about what I have; I only think about that character. I had no difficulties syncing with the character. I feel enriched when many people can watch my work. I hope that the more effort I put in, the more love I can receive. I would be happy if many people could watch this work as well.' The Netflix original series 'CASHERO - The Hero Has Cash -' will be released on December 26.
