With BTS's comeback performance approaching, the Korean police have announced a full-scale response. Park Jung-bo, head of the Seoul Police Agency, revealed at a regular press conference today (the 9th) that a task force (TF) led by the Deputy Director of Public Safety has been formed, focusing all functions on ensuring the safety of the event related to BTS's performance. The police predict that if people gather from Gwanghwamun Square, where BTS's stage will be set up, to Daehanmun, a total of 230,000 people will gather. If the crowd spreads to the vicinity of Sungnyemun, the police estimate that it could increase to a maximum of 260,000 based on a standard of two people per square meter. The police plan to particularly focus on crowd management, dividing the venue into four areas and further subdividing them into 15 smaller zones for management. They are also preparing for potential illegal activities that may occur before and after the performance. Key targets for enforcement include the use of macro programs during ticket reservations, acts of business disruption causing server failures, and violations of the Information and Communications Network Act. They will also crack down on fraud related to tickets and accommodation reservations. Additionally, they will strengthen responses to the possibility of crime or terrorism at the scene. Park Jung-bo stated, "To prepare for the possibility of violent incidents, brawls, weapon use, and terrorism on the day of the event, we will designate 13 powerful teams from nine police stations," and added, "Police special forces will also be deployed to the front lines to carry out preventive and suppression activities." The organizers will secure over 3,500 safety personnel and will initiate their own safety management. Park Jung-bo mentioned that while the organizers are responsible for the safety of ticket-buying attendees, they will deploy more safety personnel according to crowd conditions, and the police will prepare together for the safety of citizens.
