At the 10th Cabinet meeting held this morning (17th) at the Government Sejong Building, President Lee stated, 'The world is paying attention to BTS's Gwanghwamun performance, which is approaching in a few days,' and 'I believe this will be an important opportunity to reaffirm the excellence of K-culture and the high status of the Republic of Korea.' He continued, emphasizing, 'However, the issue is safety. I want you to make every effort to formulate thorough safety measures. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety, police, fire departments, and all related ministries should be particularly vigilant and thoroughly prepare for any possible situations.' Additionally, President Lee noted, 'Recently, there was human damage due to a fire at a lodging facility near Myeongdong, so we must thoroughly inspect the safety of lodging facilities.' He added, 'Although the likelihood is low, I want you to be fully prepared for so-called terrorism. I hope you will unite your efforts to make this a successful and safe event that shines a light on the Republic of Korea.' BTS will release their 5th full album 'ARIRANG' on the 20th. The day after the release, on the 21st, they will hold 'BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG' in the Gwanghwamun Square area. This stage will be broadcast live worldwide on Netflix. The police and Seoul city have designated 31 buildings around the square as focus management targets and are discussing safety measures with security personnel.
