
SEVENTEEN’s Vernon has released a new song. Vernon released his new song “I’ll Be Back” today (the 20th) at 6 p.m. through various music streaming sites. “I’ll Be Back” is an electronic number with a striking pop atmosphere, and it was first unveiled at the “2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE” held this July. Vernon participated in the lyrics writing and composition, and included a message to his fans. Vernon has released various solo songs, including “mia,” a track on V8’s first mini album, the solo song “Shining Star” included on SEVENTEEN’s 5th full-length album, and the mixtape “Black Eye.” In addition to working on V8’s album production together with The8, he has continued his energetic music activities, including collaborations with artists in and outside Korea. In 2025, Vernon joined the voting members of the U.S. Recording Academy, which is involved in selecting Grammy Awards winners, and in 2024 he was promoted to full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association. SEVENTEEN’s Vernon starts his mandatory military service today. On the 19th, he held a live broadcast on Weverse and told fans he wanted to say, “I’m off,” before enlisting. In May, he formed the new unit V8 with The8 and released the first mini album V8, featuring eight tracks about youth, confusion, recovery, and growth. SEVENTEEN members Wonwoo, Woozi, and Hoshi are also currently serving.
