The new unit by SEVENTEEN's S.Coups and Mingyu, the 1st mini-album 'HYPE VIBES' released on September 29, received gold certification (over 100,000 copies) from the Japan Record Association announced on October 10, 2025. 'HYPE VIBES' notably recorded a shipment of 100,000 copies on its release day, September 30. Furthermore, it achieved 1st place in the Oricon weekly music rankings for both 'Oricon Weekly Album Ranking' and 'Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking', winning two crowns. Additionally, it topped the Billboard JAPAN weekly album sales chart 'Top Albums Sales' with 107,438 copies sold, published on October 8, 2025 (counting period: September 29 to October 5). The album name 'HYPE VIBES' signifies a hot and free atmosphere that anyone can enjoy and connect with. The attitudes of the two, living in the moment with their own rhythm without being confined to fixed frames, are directly incorporated into the new mini-album. The title track '5, 4, 3 (Pretty Woman) (feat. Lay Bankz)' is a song that interpolates Roy Orbison's hit song 'Oh, Pretty Woman'. The lyrics express love feelings towards a strongly attractive person, harmonizing with a lively disco sound. S.Coups and Mingyu participated in the lyrics and composition of all six songs, completing the new mini-album with their preferences and sensibilities.
