An idol unit that breaks the existing format is born. Three active idol groups that have been debuting for a year join forces to form a rap and dance unit. WHIB, TIOT, and ALL(H)OURS are the protagonists. Their challenge and special stage will be unveiled for the first time at the 'UCON (Underdogs’ Concert)' held on October 9 at YES24 Live Hall in Gwangjang-dong, Seoul. As a rap unit, the rappers from each group have gathered to complete a seven-member team. WHIB's Jader and Yugo, TIOT's Kim Min-seon and Hong Goni, ALL(H)OURS' Jaden and Masami, and Hyun-bin have come together. They will showcase dynamic and powerful rap, and recently conveyed through the official SNS account of 'UCON' that they are practicing hard to rise to the top, raising expectations. The dance unit consists of 12 members. WHIB's Jader, Yugo, Lee Jong, Jin Bom, Je Ha, TIOT's Kim Min-seon, Geum Jun-hyeon, Choi Woo-jin, ALL(H)OURS' Yu Min, Jaden, Min Je, and On have joined forces. Members with outstanding performance abilities from each group, including WHIB's Je Ha, a former figure skater, TIOT's Kim Min-seon from the Taekwondo performance group K-TIGERS, and ALL(H)OURS' On, known for exceptional creativity in dance, are teaming up. 'UCON' is a project that selects rookies with global potential and completes it by meeting fans through live stages. It is based on 'STUDIO DELTA,' established by producer Park Hyun-ho, who has directed music programs for 20 years at MBC, and attention is focused on the opportunity to enjoy the stage of future global idol groups in advance.
BLACKPINK's Rosé achieved first place with her collaboration "APT." on MBC's music show, surpassing aespa and G-DRAGON. Other K-pop groups like NCT DREAM, ATEEZ, and ENHYPEN also made comebacks with new songs showcasing their unique styles and themes. The broadcast featured performances from various artists, highlighting the vibrant K-pop scene.
At the UCON concert in Seoul, three rookie idol groups—WHIB, ALL(H)OURS, and TIOT—delivered a captivating 160-minute performance. They showcased their unique styles and talents, breaking traditional boundaries with innovative stage setups and special collaborations. The event highlighted their potential as future global idols, culminating in a heartfelt finale with all members singing together.
TIOT is set to release their new digital single, 'Through the Long Tunnel of That Season,' on October 1 at 6 PM. The announcement includes a moody poster that piques curiosity about the song. This marks their comeback after six months since their debut album, 'Kick-START,' released in April.
