Hae-rin of NewJeans will skip the 2025 university entrance exam (the common university entrance test in Japan). According to her agency ADOR on the 6th, Hae-rin is a candidate for the exam but has decided not to take the 2025 university entrance exam scheduled for the 14th of this month. Born in 2006, she is now 18 years old. She has passed the high school equivalency exam and is eligible to take the university entrance exam, but she has decided not to take it to focus on her main career as a singer. Hae-rin debuted in 2022 as part of NewJeans and has released numerous hit songs such as 'Hype Boy', 'Attention', 'Cookie', 'Ditto', 'OMG', 'Super Shy', 'New Jeans', 'ETA', 'Cool With You', and 'Get Up'. This year, they were greatly loved with their double single 'How Sweet' and their Japanese debut single 'Supernatural'. NewJeans will also be performing for the first time as a girl group at 'COUNTDOWN JAPAN 24/25' held at Makuhari Messe on December 31.
