The nominees for the '2024 Billboard Music Awards' in America have been continuously announced. According to the final nominee list announced on November 25 (local time), BTS's Jimin and Jungkook have been nominated in the 'Top Global K-Pop Artist' and 'Top Global K-Pop Song' categories. Following last year, they have once again been nominated for the 'BBMAs,' proving their unchanging presence. Jimin is nominated for 'Top Global K-Pop Song' with the title track 'Who' from his 2nd solo album 'MUSE.' 'Who' recorded 14th place on the US Billboard's main song chart 'HOT100' immediately after its release. The song is still loved by many and has charted on 'HOT100' for 17 consecutive weeks. Jungkook aims for a second consecutive win in the same category with his solo single '3D (feat. Jack Harlow)' and the title track 'Standing Next to You' from his solo album 'GOLDEN.' Additionally, 'Standing Next to You' is nominated for 'Top Selling Song,' and 'GOLDEN' is nominated for 'Top K-Pop Album.' 'GOLDEN' has charted on the US Billboard's main album chart 'Billboard 200' for 24 consecutive weeks, setting a record for the longest charting period for an album by a Korean solo artist. Due to this popularity, Jungkook has become the first K-Pop solo artist to be listed in the 'Top Song Sales Artist' category. He has been selected as a finalist in a total of six categories, making him the artist with the most nominations at this year's 'BBMAs' among K-Pop singers. Stray Kids have also been nominated for two consecutive years, in the 'Top Duo/Group,' 'Top K-Pop Album,' and 'Top Global K-Pop Artist' categories. Notably, they are the only K-Pop artists nominated for two albums, '樂-STAR' and 'ATE,' in the 'Top K-Pop Album' category. ENHYPEN has been nominated in two categories: 'Top Global K-Pop Artist' and 'Top K-Pop Touring Artist.' SEVENTEEN is nominated for 'Top K-Pop Touring Artist,' ATEEZ for 'Top K-Pop Album,' and LE SSERAFIM for 'Top Global K-Pop Song.' Furthermore, TOMORROW X TOGETHER is nominated in three categories: 'Top Global K-Pop Artist,' 'Top K-Pop Touring Artist,' and 'Top K-Pop Album,' while ILLIT has been nominated for 'Top Global K-Pop Song' just about eight months after their debut. The 'BBMAs' are regarded as one of America's four major music awards, alongside the Grammy Awards, American Music Awards, and MTV Video Music Awards, boasting high authority. This year's award ceremony will be held on December 12 and is scheduled to be broadcast on FOX and Amazon Fire TV channels.
