Dowoon of the band DAY6 has clarified his position directly amid rising rumors of a romantic relationship and marriage with YouTuber Yu Jiyu. Today (28th), Dowoon stated, 'Our team will not disappear even if we die. I am not going anywhere, and I will not look at bad comments. For a while, please ignore any posts related to me, and I apologize for hurting you. Please wait a little longer.' This seems to be Dowoon's first public statement regarding the dating and marriage rumors with Yu Jiyu. Recently, posts about their romantic suspicions have spread through online communities. Amid suspicions of a 'love Instagram,' photos of what appears to be Dowoon's car with Yu Jiyu's dog of the same breed were shared through a friend's SNS, raising doubts. In response, Yu Jiyu's SNS and YouTube channel were flooded with comments seeking confirmation of the facts, and fans protested for clarification from Dowoon. JYP Entertainment, Dowoon's agency, has stated that they have no position on the matter. Particularly, the suspicion that Dowoon and Yu Jiyu are not just dating but preparing for marriage has caused a stir. Reports have circulated online that Dowoon has been consulting wedding planners since last year. Some fans expressed disappointment over the suspicion that Dowoon is preparing for marriage at a time when he should focus on his activities. Furthermore, while some fans reacted by saying Dowoon is neglecting communication with them, others pointed out that such reactions are excessive. Yu Jiyu, born in 1996, runs a personal YouTube channel called 'Jiyurokke,' boasting about 198,000 subscribers.
